The 2023 Boao Forum for Chinese Entrepreneurs, with the theme of "Focusing on New Quality Productivity and Enhancing New Development Momentum," was successfully held in Boao, Hainan from December 2nd to 5th, 2023. More than a thousand Fortune Global 500, China's Top 500, and industry-leading entrepreneurs will gather together to seek the path of high-quality economic development in China. Yan Jiachun, Chairman of Zhongna Energy (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the Boao Forum.
Focus on contemporary issues and answer questions about reality. The 2023 Boao Forum for Chinese Entrepreneurs, with the theme of "Focusing on New Quality Productivity and Enhancing New Development Momentum," engages in exchanges and discussions on topics from different perspectives, injecting confidence and momentum into the next stage of the Chinese economy. Keynote speech, roundtable dialogue, and high-altitude perspective; Parallel forums, down-to-earth and pragmatic, full of valuable resources; Important projects, important collaborations, and successful implementation.
At the main forum, Xu Shanna, Deputy Secretary General of Xinhua News Agency, announced that the global investment promotion of Xinhua News Agency's National Financial Information Building has officially begun, welcoming outstanding global enterprises to settle down, promoting the cross-border integration of finance, technology, and culture, and building an innovative ecosystem of industrial linkage, spatial linkage, and functional integration.
During the meeting, Xinhua Finance reporters had in-depth exchanges with Chairman Yan Jiachun to jointly explore the future development of sodium power.
Xinhua Finance and Economics, Boao, Hainan, December 6th (Reporter Chen Biqi) The 2023 Boao Forum for Chinese Entrepreneurs concluded on the 5th. Zhongna Energy (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd. (referred to as "CNAE") was invited to attend the conference due to its innovative performance in the fields of sodium electricity, electrochemical energy storage, and large cylindrical battery cells. Chairman Yan Jiachun pointed out during the Green Development Forum that there is a shortage of resources and low temperature efficiency in the lithium battery industry. Sodium ion batteries have certain advantages in resource richness, safety, and cost. With the surge in demand for new energy vehicle batteries and the increasing demand for batteries in the energy storage sector under the background of "dual carbon", the market's investment in sodium ion batteries will show an increasing trend.

CNAE is a professional supplier of sodium ion battery materials and battery products, which has formed a comprehensive business layout from precursor, cathode materials, specialized electrolytes and additives to battery cells. It has more than 20 patents related to sodium ion batteries.
Yan Jiachun was invited to participate in the Green Development Sub Forum and the 2023 Carbon Peak Carbon Neutrality Innovation and Creation Conference. In response to the resource scarcity and low low-temperature efficiency issues in the lithium battery industry, Yan Jiachun believes that lithium and sodium belong to the first main group of elements, with similar physical and chemical properties. The sodium reserves in the crust reach 2.36%, while the lithium reserves are only 0.002%. Sodium ion batteries have certain advantages in resource richness, cost, and other aspects. The working temperature range of lithium batteries is -20 ℃ -55 ℃, while the working temperature range of sodium ion batteries is -40 ℃ -80 ℃. Sodium ion batteries have good low-temperature performance and can maintain a capacity of over 80% in an environment of -20 ℃, which can solve the problem of insufficient performance of power batteries at low temperatures. In addition, the thermal runaway temperature of sodium ion batteries is higher than that of lithium batteries, and their safety performance is more prominent. In the future, through technological advancement, material improvement, and large-scale production, the cost of sodium ion batteries will further decrease, and their prospects in energy storage and power exchange markets are broad.
Although CNAE has not been established for a long time, its overseas R&D team achieved technological innovation in sodium electricity production as early as 2019, through continuous experimentation and exploration with CNAE's domestic battery development team. So in 2021, taking advantage of the trend of industry development and with the original intention of transferring research results to industrialization and further contributing to the entire energy storage industry, we launched the construction of domestic sodium power production lines.
At present, CNAE has developed and mass-produced 32140 models of sodium ion batteries, and 46115-15A sodium ion batteries are in the stage of research and small-scale debugging. They have the conditions for rapid industrialization of lithium iron phosphate, lithium manganese iron phosphate, polyanion sodium battery, and layered oxide sodium battery products. Including cylindrical cells, square shell cells, etc. suitable for different application scenarios. At the same time, CNAE will actively explore new application areas, such as AGVs, electric forklifts, marine power supplies, etc., to further expand the application scope of sodium ion batteries.
Looking towards the future, CNAE will continue to adhere to the innovation driven concept, deepen the research and development of key materials for sodium ion batteries, capacity construction, and market expansion, continuously optimize product and service quality, accelerate the industrialization of sodium ion batteries, provide more efficient, environmentally friendly, and reliable energy solutions for global customers, and assist in the development of the global green new energy industry.
